Una Power is a Councillor for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council in Dublin, Ireland since 2019.
Una graduated with a BA in German Language and Politics and International Relations, and a Master in Public Policy with a focus on Environmental Law from University College Dublin. She has worked in the NGO and Political sectors since leaving university.
Since 2000 she has been a member of the European Committee of the regions, becoming the Co-President of the Greens Political Group. In this role she has focused on environmental legislation and social justice issues.
In 2023 she worked as the Rapporteur for the Committee of the Regions on the Revision of the EU Ambient Air Quality Legislation. Her Opinion on this was adopted by a majority of the Committee of the Regions in July 2023.
