ŠIMAŠIUS

Dr Remigijus Šimašius, Vilnius City Councillor, is an expert in regulatory innovation and implementation, with over three decades of leadership in reforming regulatory frameworks and urban policy. He currently serves as Principal Advisor at the Institute for Regulatory Innovation, Delivery and Effectiveness (IRIDE) and as a Partnership Professor in Law & Economics at Vilnius University. His earlier roles include Mayor of Vilnius (2015–2023) and Minister of Justice (2008–2012). He guides organisations in transforming visions into real-world impact by cutting complexity, delivering smarter regulation and its implementation, and advancing competitive and sustainable urban policies.
