Mrs. Nadezhda Bobcheva is the Deputy Mayor of Sofia Municipality, responsible for 'Green System, Ecology, and Land Use'; With extensive experience in municipal administration, she has held various expert and managerial positions in Silistra and Sofia. Mrs. Bobcheva has served two terms as a municipal councilor in the Silistra Municipal Council (2011-2015 and 2015-2019) and has a rich background in developing, managing, and evaluating EU-funded projects.

Her educational credentials include a Master's degree in Finance from the University of National and World Economy in Sofia and a Master's degree in Urban Management, awarded with distinction, from a joint program by Erasmus University and the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Mrs. Bobcheva has participated in numerous training programs on local and regional development, organized by the Network of Associations of Local Authorities of South-East Europe (NALAS), the Local Government Initiative, and the World Bank, among others.

Under her leadership, projects focusing on waste management, recycling, digitalization, and public administration have thrived. She is committed to implementing a new Building Code to simplify and harmonize construction regulations and aims to digitize investment design and urban planning processes. Her efforts strive for transparent urban environment changes, preventing unregulated tree cutting and destruction of green spaces. She advocates for increased municipal funding and greater decision-making at the local level, ensuring the citizens' voices are heard.
