Bruno Sánchez-Andrade Nuño, PhD is an astrophysicist turned AI impact strategist with over 15 years of experience at the intersection of climate, AI, and social innovation. He is Executive Director of Clay, an open-source foundation model for Earth. He is also Co-Founder and Chief Scientist of Lgnd.io, building large-scale geospatial AI systems. Previously, he led the creation of the Microsoft’s Planetary Computer, was Chief Scientist at Mapbox, and directed social-impact and data-science initiatives at the World Bank and Satellogic. A former NASA researcher and World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, his work bridges cutting-edge AI with environmental and humanitarian outcomes across sectors and continents.
