A clinician working within the respiratory arena, with extensive clinical and industry experience in academic, hospital, outpatient and medical affairs roles. Member of the international editorial board of the Journal of Climate Change and Health.
The last 6 years (since his grandchildren were born) with a dominant interest in social entrepreneurship, as co-founder and Chairman of the Board of the Air for Health Association, as well as the Bulgarian think-tank on environmental health.
Author of the first digital medicine course in Bulgaria, as well as author and lead tutor of the 'Public Health for Non-Medics' course at New Bulgarian University in Sofia.
Member of the Bulgarian Parliament in the 45th, 46th and 47th, 48th and 49th National Assemblies.
Chairman of the Health Commission in the 45th National Assembly and deputy chairman of the commission in the 46th, 47th and 48th and 49th national assemblies.
